Rights & permissions

Every right has a door, and someone answers it.

OBN Publishing controls world rights in its titles unless a book's page says otherwise. Requests are read by a person and answered in writing.

I

Translation & foreign editions

Foreign-language and territory editions are licensed per title. Tell us the language, the territory, your house and your list, and we will send terms or an honest no. The network side of OBN broadcasts internationally, which we take into account when we place a language.

Film, TV, dramatic & audio

Screen and audio adaptations are considered case by case. Oneway Broadcasting Network produces television itself, so proposals are read by people who make programmes, not only license them.

Quoting & excerpting

Brief quotations in reviews, sermons, teaching, and scholarship — with the title and author credited — are welcome and need no permission. Anything longer (course packs, anthologies, reprints of a chapter, translations of an excerpt) needs a written yes: ask below, it costs nothing.

In short

Short quote, credited — go ahead.

Anything more — ask, in writing.

Every request gets an answer.

Make a request

The more precise the request, the faster the answer: which title, which rights, which territory or language, and where it would appear.

Media looking for review copies — that has its own door.
